- Is it possible to make two different print sizes, namely L (5x3.5") and K (6x4") by using two different medias on one printer (DPB-6000/7000)?
- To use one printer for different paper widths is not recommended. However, there is no problem to use one printer for different print sizes if the paper width is the same.
- How do I switch from 5x3.5" to 6x4" print size (DPB-6000/7000)?
- When the printer is new, please follow instruction manual to change the settings (please note that the printer is preset for 6x4" print size at the factory). If you wish to switch the paper width to 6" of a printer that has been used at 5" paper width, please contact the sales dealer (some parts need to be exchanged). If you wish to switch from 6" to 5" paper width, please follow the instruction manual to change the settings.
- How do I change the media (paper and ink ribbon)?
- Please refer to the instruction manual included in the CD-ROM which you will find in the package of the printer.
- I cannot find the instruction manual.
- Instruction manual is stored as an electronic file in the CD-ROM which is found in the package of the printer. You may also download the same file from the website.
- Ink ribbon reached its end. However, there still is paper remained. Is it possible to exchange only the ink ribbon?
- A little extra length of paper is provided considering the paper cut loss. Please always exchange both paper and ink ribbon at the same time.
- Is it necessary to do daily maintenance of the printer?
- Please make sure that you empty paper slugs in the slug box every time you exchange paper and ink ribbon. Please keep rollers in the printer clean. For cleaning method, please refer to the instruction manual.
- Ribbon became torn off.
- Please refer to the instruction manual. Please follow the steps to splice the torn ribbon with Scotch tape.
- White dots are on prints.
- Please refer to the instruction manual and proceed with cleaning of each roller. If you still see white dots on prints after cleaning rollers, please contact the sales dealer (it may require to replace parts).
- There is a white straight line on print in the direction of paper feeding.
- Please refer to the instruction manual and proceed with the cleaning of the print head. If the problem does not disappear by cleaning the print head, please contact the sales dealer (it may require to replace parts)
- How do I buy media set (paper and ink ribbon)?
- Please purchase genuine media set from the same sales dealer you bought your printer from. If you use any media that is not Copal genuine media set, it could cause a serious damage to the printer or may cause loss in printer performance. Please make sure that you use only Copal genuine media set.
